Who this is

When you use this site or submit your details through any form on it, I'm the data controller — meaning I'm responsible for how your information is collected and used.

What I collect and why

If you fill in the Wedding Venue Health Check, book a call, or send me a message, I collect the information you provide — your name, email address, business name, and any details you share about your venue.

I use that information to:

• send you the thing you asked for (your Health Check results, a confirmation, a reply)
• follow up with you about how I might help
• send relevant content, insights, or updates if you've opted in

I don't buy contact lists. Every person in my system has either submitted a form, contacted me directly, or opted in through a specific campaign.

Legal basis

For enquiries and Health Check submissions, the basis is legitimate interest — you reached out because you want a response, and I'm providing one. For marketing emails, the basis is consent — you'll only receive those if you explicitly opted in.

How long I keep your data

If you request it, I'll remove your details at any time. If you haven't engaged with any communications in 24 months, I'll suppress your contact from active use.

Third parties

Your data may be stored or processed through the following platforms: GoEngage (CRM and automation), Google Workspace, and any email or scheduling tool used to communicate with you. None of these parties use your data for their own marketing purposes.

I don't sell your data. Ever.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the data I hold on you, correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how I'm using it. Email mark@markkirby.co.uk and I'll sort it promptly — no forms, no automated runaround.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think I've handled your data incorrectly.
